JimmySniffs ("we", "the app") helps you discover fragrances, find deals, and build a personal scent profile. We designed the app to collect as little personal data as possible. This policy explains what we do and don't do.
What we store on your device
Your scent profile (the answers from onboarding), your saved fragrances, and your app preferences are stored locally on your device using iOS storage. This data stays on your device and is not sold or shared.
Account & sign-in
Signing in is optional. If you choose Sign in with Apple or Google, we receive a basic identifier and, where you permit it, your name and email — used only to personalize the app and label your account. We do not post anything on your behalf and do not share this information with advertisers.
Fragrance data
Fragrance information is sourced from our catalog (hosted on Google Firebase) and, on request, refreshed from publicly available fragrance data via the Apify platform. These requests contain only the brand or fragrance you ask to look up — never your personal information.
Notifications
If you allow notifications, we use them to alert you about new deals and scents that match your profile. You can turn them off anytime in iOS Settings.
Analytics & tracking
We do not track you across apps or websites, and we do not use third-party advertising identifiers.
Deleting your data
You can sign out or delete your account from the You tab at any time, which removes your account and locally stored profile and saved scents.
Children
JimmySniffs is intended for users 17 and older and is not directed at children.
